Inspiration
First, I had to conceptualize the look of my poster. I looked at hundreds of travel posters, postcards, and images of Hawaii to convey the right feeling for this project.

Background:
This graphic poster is made to encourage women to take the PADI diving classes in Hawaii.
Concept
The main concept of this poster is to encourage locals or tourists in Hawaii to learn about diving and make their experience memorable. This project requires high-level of technical skill in order to make the composition work using different unmodified images and vector graphics. In addition, I had to make a custom brush and add graphic styles to simplify the workflow. Lastly, I had to set-up this poster as ready-to-print.

Composition
I’ve decided to divide the composition into two parts; the surface and the deep sea. This way, I can show the beauty of the Hawaii and show the details of the poster underwater.
Editing
Using all my knowledge in Photoshop, I masked, refined, and color corrected each of the images to fit my vision.
In addition, I made a custom brush to make the bubbles and made the Vector graphics (the flower and PADI logo) in Illustrator.
Printing
Lastly, I imported the final product into Adobe Illustrator to add the bleed and export it as ready-to-print.
