Background:
A digital e-flyer showing imperial Chinese robes in China throughout history.
Concept
The idea of this project is to create an e-flyer to feature historic things, figures or events that could be shown at the National Canadian Museum of History. The focus of this project was creative composition and typography as well as informing people about the subject chosen.
Process
Inspiration
First, I had to think of a topic which I am interested in. I chose historic Chinese robes because I like fashion and I’ve read several modern fashion magazines. Therefore, I am confident that I can create a flyer with the help of modern layouts.
Structuring
Writing down the plan of how I will execute this project proves to be really helpful. I gathered assets and wrote the description that goes along with it because my main focus was to educate people about imperial Chinese robes throughout time.
Compositing
The fun starts here as it feels like creating a scrapbook. I kept moving elements using all the design knowledge I have to make the design visually pleasing.
Exporting
Lastly, I exported my work by packaging it in InDesign so I will have future access to all the assets and go through any revisions smoothly.
