Background:

Helping design a set of business cards for the company I was working as a font-end developer.

Concept

Gabby Communications International, Inc. is an international startup company, which provides web-based English training service. They want the business card looks minimal yet impact, also the color of business cards can be customizable.

Process

Setting

Since this work is going to be printed out in certain size, it is important to get the right settings includes color mode, resolution, print guidelines etc.

Design

First, choosing proper fonts to meet client’s requirement. Then, designing it by using Illustrator. The main skills I used were includes kerning, tracking, leading, align, expand etc. Last, applying the customize color to every business cards.

Deliver

Since they do not have Adobe Suites installed, I need to save the .ai file to the “high quality print” PDF file with proper marks and bleeds, to make sure files are ready to be print without any technical trouble.
